Any business owner knows they can’t do everything in their business. So, I did some research to find out when you should hire your first employee and who they should be.

You should hire someone if:

You are likely going to know when it is absolutely necessary to hire someone as the work load will increase and the you won’t be able to provide the quality of work you would like.

The first person you hire should specialize in your opposing strength.

It is important you hire the right person to move your business forward and the best way to do this is to hire someone who can complete work which is not your strong point. Doing this will allow you to improve your quality of work in the airier you are good at by dedicating more of your time to them.

Additionally, if you hire the right person, they may complete the job better than you could because of their expertise.

There are different ways you can hire, for example if you need a task doing you could consider hiring a freelancer were if you need a project doing you could consider a contractor.

Full time and part time roles could be considered if you expect to have work which would help generate income long term.
